ABOUT US | Biography

Paul is the principal executive of Garrett Consulting Corporation and in his role is directly responsible for all investment, insurance, and employee benefit product sales, marketing, administration, and compliance regulation for the organization. He has been a practicing financial professional for over 23 years. He is assisted by a support staff of four associates.

Prior to forming Garrett Consulting in 2000, Paul held the titles of Executive Vice President, Oak Brook Securities Corporation, Oak Brook, IL (five years); Investment Specialist, New England Securities, Chicago, IL (six years); and Senior Investment Officer, Inland Securities Corporation, Oak Brook, IL (two years).

Paul's primary expertise is in investment planning, with an emphasis in qualified and non-qualified retirement plan consulting for small- and medium-sized businesses. He currently commands a client base of approximately 250 individual, business, and institutional investors. He holds General Securities Representative (Series 7) and General Securities Registered Principal (Series 24) licenses with FINRA through Commonwealth Financial Network. Paul is also profiled in Who's Who In Finance. He has successfully completed the Agency Management Training Council (AMTC) management course.

Paul coordinates total financial strategies for business and personal clients and is facile in the areas of business and personal retirement, life insurance, business strategy, employee benefit, executive benefit, disability insurance, estate, college funding, and tax planning. He has been a frequent guest speaker on many financial topics and was named a "*5-Star Wealth Manager", representing the top 2% of financial professionals in the Chicagoland area, in the November 2010 and 2011 issues of Chicago magazine. Paul also regularly conducts popular educational public and corporate financial seminars in the area. Additionally, Paul has had many articles published in the Chicagoland press and has had clients featured in Money magazine and the New England Securities corporate Image Brochure. Paul is also licensed with the Illinois Department of Insurance.

Paul is active in the community, is a member of several professional organizations (including the Better Business Bureau), and is an accomplished guitarist, bassist, and harpist who also enjoys exercising.
